A variety of leathers were used to make this artwork. The setting sun is a lovely off-white suede while the backdrop is made with an undyed vegetable tanned leather. The mountains are made of a beautiful undyed cowhide, a pearly-white cowhide, and a copper goat skin. The cactus is made of beautiful sage leather.
The wooden frame is thick enough to stand on a tabletop without support or it may be hung with the bracket attached to the back. It comes with a plexiglass cover if you prefer your artwork behind glass, but the art is beautiful exposed to reveal its natural color.
Each piece of leather was selected from remnant that would otherwise go unused as it’s from the soft or uneven edge of the hide. These pieces were then cut by hand and placed onto the backdrop for the perfect fit for your framed landscape wall art. All pieces are adhered and some are reinforced with stitching.
